Guide: How to Add a New Product in Its Own Category

If you want to add a new product and place it in its own category, follow these simple steps to set it up correctly in RoundTab.

Step 1: Create a New Category

Before adding the product, you need to create a category for it.

1. Log in to your RoundTab Manager Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Products from the sidebar menu.
3. Click "Categories button in the toolbar.
4. In the toolbar, enter a Category Name (eg "Beers") and click Add Category.
5. Fill in the product details as required:
   • Set the visibility to Promote to make the category visible on the front end.
   • Add a Description (optional).
   • Add an image (optional).
6. Click the Update button to save your changes.

Step 2: Add a New Product

Now that you have a category, you can add your product.

1. Navigate to Products from the sidebar menu.
2. In the toolbar, enter a Product Name (eg "Coca-Cola") and click Add Product.
3. Fill in the product details as required:
   • Categories (select the new category you created)
   • Description (optional)
   • Prices (eg: Cup at £2.50, Bottle at £3.50)
4. Click the Update button to save your changes.
5. Go to your Menu or Product List and check that the product appears correctly under the new category.
   • If the product isn't showing on the front end, check that the category and product are not hidden in the visibility settings.
   • You can also preview the menu as a customer to ensure everything looks correct.
